Our Team

Mic Chikanda
Mic is co-founder of DesignOpp and is a Black Irish designer based in Ireland creating holistic brands for Iocal and international clients. His work encompasses editorial design (Cape Township Times Newspaper), logo & brand identity consulting, graphic design and advertising. BA Hons Degree and Masters Degree in Design Practice. His life experiences as a black designer gave birth to DesignOpp.

Grace Enemaku
Grace is co-founder of DesignOpp and is an award-winning multidisciplinary designer and illustrator who creates branding and illustration for the unconventional. She is the glue of the team, keeping everything ticking along and overseeing social and opportunities.

Greg Osborne
Greg is co-founder of DesignOpp and is an Ireland-based Branding and Design Consultant. His role in DesignOpp is to oversee educational progress, focusing on curriculum change and in-school activities.

Ashwin Chacko
Ashwin is the social director for DesignOpp and is an author, illustrator & motivational speaker. He specialise in positive visual storytelling. He likes to describe his work as positively playful.

Christine Akinrinde
Christine is part of the DesignOpp social team and is an Irish-Nigerian graphic designer, living and working in Dublin. She joined DesignOpp because she thinks in the creative industry it is so important to have a community you can lean on for support, inspiration, collaboration and opportunities.

Hannah Chang Hui Ross
Hannah is part of the DesignOpp social team. She is a graphic designer from West Cork. She believes that we have so much more potential as an industry if we prioritise equality and diversity for a better future. She approaches all projects with curiosity and passion and hopes to create empathetic narratives, challenge people’s expectations, inform and excite.

Abeeha Tariq
Abeeha runs the DesignOpp Twitter and is a Pakistani and Irish illustrator currently based in the UK. She joined DesignOpp because it's really important to her to shine a light on the talent and work of Black and POC artists and designers and increase their opportunities.

Gauri Gupta
Gauri is project manager at DesignOpp and is a Dublin-based art director, published visual storyteller and artist. Her work has been published internationally by Harper Collins, Encyclopedia Britannica, Bloomsbury, Westland Publications, Eupheus Learning, Katha, and The Art of Living.
Her professional practice includes art and creative direction, project and team management, illustration and storytelling, visual content development, publication design, visual identity & more.

Onyedikachi Onwusor
Onyedikachi runs email communications and is responsible for our monthly newsletter. He is a painter and muralist based in Wexford. He wants to nurture a platform of outreach and inclusion for creatives of colour.

Holly Pereira
Holly Pereira is a mentor at DesignOpp and is an illustrator & muralist based in Dublin, Ireland. Her work is colourful, fun and bold, and often takes reference from folk art. Her murals explore the use of colour in the public space, and she creates bright and exuberant environments in which we are invited to play.

Charlot Kristensen
Charlot is a mentor at DesignOpp and an author and illustrator originally from Denmark. She joined DesignOpp because she believes in the importance of uplifting bipoc and giving them a space to develop their skills and careers.

Timi Ogunyemi
Timi is a mentor at DesignOpp and is Global Brand Manager at Sailor Jerry. He has an extensive career in design and advertising, recently moving brand-side after his time at Ogilvy.

Adetunji is our events manager and is a multi-displinary creative, digital artist, podcast host & strategist. He runs a company called studio BLVCK, a creative agency, media company, illustrator rep.
